Why We Built This Site
Louisiana's Public Records Law opens a great deal of material, but knowing which office holds the piece you need is the hard part. A warrant is not one document in one place. The court that issues it sets the charge and the bail. The sheriff serves it and can say whether it is still outstanding. A bench warrant for a missed date usually stays with the city, town, or mayor's court that set the case. A justice-of-the-peace matter stays with that justice, and a federal case never touches the parish system at all.
Iberville adds its own layers. The Eighteenth Judicial District Court covers Iberville, Pointe Coupee, and West Baton Rouge Parishes, with four divisions and a courthouse in Plaquemine. The parish has two cities, two towns, two villages, and six JP wards, and the parish seat sits inside one city's court boundary. A reader who calls one office, hears nothing, and stops has not finished the check. We collect the contact details, payment routes, request steps, and access rules for each of those offices in one place.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant lookups: how to run a warrant search through the sheriff, the Clerk of Court, and the court that holds the case
- Outstanding warrants: how to check for active warrants and what an active status actually means
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise and which court keeps them
- Charge-based warrants: how arrest warrants are issued and served in Iberville Parish
- Resolving a warrant: the steps that start with an attorney and move through the issuing court, a bond, or a motion to recall
Every office page, phone number, and fee on this site comes from an official source: a sheriff, clerk, court, city, or state statute page. Louisiana's local government unit is the parish, so the county name in the site title is the project's naming convention rather than a different jurisdiction. Contact details change, so the live office page is always the safer reference.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We are not connected to any Louisiana court, sheriff's office, clerk, or state agency. There are real limits on what we can help with:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or take a payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, an appearance, or a walk-in resolution
- We cannot give legal advice about how a case applies to you
- We cannot promise that every number or fee listed here is current at this moment
Only the issuing court or the sheriff's warrants line can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or served. We can point you to the right office, but the answer has to come from there.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry a search box supplied by an outside provider. Those companies run their own services and set their own prices. If a search leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, and that revenue keeps the site free to read. We do not control what those tools charge or return, and their results are not an official warrant check.
